INFO AND GUIDELINES

HOPKINTON 2008-2009

Contact :

          Kerry Creswell   508- 435- 8656   creswell4@comcast.net

1.             Decide where and when you want to hold your booth sale. Contact Kerry Creswell to confirm availability at the following sites: Colella’s, Hopkinton Drug, Middlesex Bank, or Bank of America.  Scheduling will be done on a first come, first serve basis. I will schedule your first choice, your second booth sale date/time will be given after everyone else has their first choice in place.  Please read the Scheduling Booth Sales on Website.

2.            Cookie Mom must go thru Quickbase to reserve cookie order for Booth Sale. Check for this in Cookie Book.

3.            A Troop Activity Form must be filled out for any booth sale - done thru www.girlscoutseasternma.org  Website.

4.            Read BOOTH SALES in Cookie Book

5.       Cookie Booth Sales at Colella's Any troop that signs up to do a Cookie Booth Sale at Colellas(starts Dec 13) automatically has: Outside the front door, the back door (inside or out), and can sell boxes of Cookies at the tree sales. If this troop wants to sell something IN ADDITION to boxes of cookies they must set this up only at the Tree Sale Area and must clear with Kerry so they do not duplicate any other sales a troop may be doing in the tree area at that time.

6.       Tree Sale Area This is an area where a troop can contact Kerry to set up a table to sell items from now until the tree sales end. If selling food items the troop must clear thru the board of Health in the Town Hall. The only area the troop can sell items is in the TREE SALE AREA ------- NOT COLELLAS BUILDING.

We have limited space in most selling areas here in town. It is required to have two adults in place at all times. We request that no more than three girls (Preferably TWO) are scheduled for a “shift” of two hours or less.

It is VERY IMPORTANT to note the following: Scouts DO NOT approach customers in any way! Scouts will stand behind the selling table and sell to those who approach them.  Scouts will not sing, cajole, harass, or follow customers of any establishment.  We have had complaints in previous years of very aggressive Cookie Selling. This can not happen; shopkeepers are hesitant to have us return!!!  Mind your manners- say please and thank you- stay at your station- no running around the area-voices LOW- you are representing your TOWN AND ALL GIRL SCOUTS!!

Some points:

Keep to your area, keeping a clear path for customers

Provide your own table and decorations-Troop Flag, etc

Have girls in Uniform/Leaders wear Insignia

Bring box for cash with plenty of change.

Bring extra bags for those who are buying multiple boxes.

NO SIBLINGS ALLOWED

Clean up your area completely when you leave.

If any issues occur during your sale please call Adrienne Nguyen 508-435-0509 a@gotolam.com so we know.

It would be wonderful if the troop could write a Thank you to the business for allowing them to use their space. This creates good will for the next booth sale and for next year!!!
