Treasure the Earth a public art project Entry Form www.caahopkinton.org 98 Hayden Rowe Street •Hopkinton, MA 01748 Contact: 508-435-9222 or info@caahopkinton.org Our Mission: The Cultural Arts Alliance of Hopkinton is a nonprofit organization dedicated to creating an alliance between the art and the community by providing individual and shared forums for artistic expression, viewers enjoyment, arts education, and community enrichment. Project Overview Treasure the Earth is a public art project that will provide the opportunity for all people -artists, students, groups- to come together to express their concern about the delicate state of our planet today. Participants will design and create a large rectangular panel ( approximately 3 x 6 feet) that contains their message for what we can do to better our planet. We will assemble the panels into a number of larger patchwork panel strips. We use these panels to “wrap” an old wooden grain silo that is located at our facility. Eligibility This project is open to everyone. All works are subject to final acceptance by the Cultural Arts Alliance of Hopkinton, Inc. (CAA) based on content or appropriateness. Submission Requirements Panels need to be 3 feet wide by 6 feet long. Panels need to be created from recycled materials. Panels must be sturdy enough to remain outside for a few months. How to Enter Entrants must notify the CAA at info@caahopkinton.org of intent to enter by February 1, 2010. All completed panels need to be delivered to the CAA by March 15, 2010.
