Hurricain Sandy

Girl Scouts of the USA allows troops to
raise money for GS Councils affected by Hurricane Sandy.


From GSUSA:
Thanks for reaching out to us, asking how you can help with the devastation from Hurricane Sandy. Eight councils were affected, and they're assessing damage to their facilities. We know how much Girl Scouts want to help, so
we've lifted the restrictions on troop fundraising to donate money to those councils
most in need. Please know that offers to collect coats, blankets, and other necessities, while appreciated, are not the best way to help: most affected councils lack the ability to process materials, food, or clothing. They’re even struggling to answer their phones and keep up with social media.


We know you’re eager to get started, so let’s brainstorm ways for troops to earn money that girls can donate. But please, please...no offers to donate materials or clothing of any kind!
